Writing a Nonfiction Book

Christina Thompson is the editor of Harvard Review and the author of Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia, which won the 2020 Australian Prime Minister's Literary Award, the 2020 Victorian Premier's Literary Award, the 2019 New South Wales (NSW) Premier's General History Prize. Her first book, Come on Shore and We Will Kill and Eat You All, was a finalist for the 2009 NSW Premier's Prize and the 2010 Douglas Stewart Prize for International Writing. She has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Library of Australia, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, including a Public Scholar Award. She teaches at Harvard Extension School, where she was awarded the James E. Conway Excellence in Teaching Writing Award in 2008.
