The Art and Science of Decision-Making

Robert Duboff is co-founder of HawkPartners. His focus is on helping clients develop effective strategies. This often entails workshops and other tools to facilitate decisions and/or learning. Over the years, he has worked with clients across virtually all industries, with concentration on those who market to other businesses, large or small.

From 1999-2001, Duboff served as Ernst & Young's chief marketing officer with responsibility for all marketing activities of the $4 billion enterprise. He also chaired the firm's Global Marketing Operating Committee.

Prior to that, Duboff was a vice president and board member of Mercer Management Consulting. During his twenty years with the firm, Duboff helped launch Mercer's marketing and market research practice, and led this unit for more than a decade.

Duboff co-authored the book Market Research Matters (Wiley, 2000) and wrote ROI for Marketing: Balancing Accountability with Long-Term Needs for the Association of National Advertisers in 2007. He has also written for such publications as Harvard Business Review, Marketing Management, The Advertiser, Across the Board, and Leadership & Strategy. He is an experienced teacher, who has taught at Harvard Extension School (where he is currently teaching), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School, Boston University, and Boston College, and has been a frequent expert in legal cases.

Duboff received a BA from Amherst College and a JD from Harvard Law School.
