Psychometric Theory and Assessment

Dr. Jenny Weil Malatras is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in evidence-based intervention and assessment. She completed her America Psychological Association (APA)-accredited clinical training in professional psychology at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she received specialty training in pediatric psychology and is certified by PCIT International as a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist. Malatras earned her PhD and MA in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and a bachelor of science in human development from Cornell University. Malatras is an instructor for Harvard Extension School, a practicing clinical psychologist, and serves as a consulting psychologist for schools, institutions of higher education, and industry. She previously held faculty positions at the University at Albany, State University of New York in Albany, New York, and at Union College, in Schenectady, New York. Malatras is an author of Abnormal Child and Adolescent Psychology, ninth edition, a textbook on clinical disorders in childhood and adolescence, and has been published in well-known peer-reviewed outlets. She also serves as a contributing writer for Psychology Today. Her research has been featured in the media (for example, Huffington Post and CBS Boston), and she has been appointed to statewide initiatives, including New York State's First 1000 Days on Medicaid Workgroup and the State University of New York Mental Health and Wellness Advisory Committee.
