How will your organization, industry, and professional career adapt to the major trends reshaping our world? As the pace of change accelerates, it can feel overwhelming to anticipate and prepare for future shifts. This course addresses that challenge by examining ten major trends set to transform business, society, and human life by 2050. Through tools like scenario planning, systems thinking, and creative storytelling, we explore key areas such as technological innovations (for example, artificial intelligence [AI], quantum computing, and personalized medicine), demographic shifts, climate change, and workplace transformation. Students create narratives about the impact of these trends on industries, businesses, and personal futures through writing, video projects, group presentations, and discussions with guest experts.
