Essentials of Editing

Christina Thompson is the editor of Harvard Review and the author of Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia, which won the 2020 Australian Prime Minister's Literary Award, the 2020 Victorian Premier's Literary Award, the 2019 New South Wales (NSW) Premier's General History Prize. Her first book, Come on Shore and We Will Kill and Eat You All, was a finalist for the 2009 NSW Premier's Prize and the 2010 Douglas Stewart Prize for International Writing. She has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Library of Australia, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, including a Public Scholar Award. She teaches at Harvard Extension School, where she was awarded the James E. Conway Excellence in Teaching Writing Award in 2008.

Laura Healy is the translator of Roberto Bolaño's poetry collections The Romantic Dogs (New Directions, 2008), Tres (New Directions, 2011) and The Unknown University (New Directions, 2013). Her translations of Bolaño and other Latin American poets have appeared in the New Yorker, Harper's, Paris Review, The Believer, and The Nation. She received her bachelor's degree in comparative literature and Latin American studies from Brown and her master's degree in romance languages and literatures from Harvard University. She is the digital editor of Harvard Review.
