This course provides an in-depth analysis of North American policy through the lens of trade, migration, and security. Students explore the impact of transnational organized crime on regional security, delve into the dynamics of immigration from Central America and Mexico into the US—including socio-economic and humanitarian aspects—and investigate the complexities of trade relationships between the US and its neighbors. Emphasis is placed on the implications for policy, economic stability, and job creation. Through rigorous examination and case studies, students develop a nuanced understanding of these critical issues.
