Cyber Attack Meets Cyber Policy

Derek S. Reveron is Lecturer in Extension at Harvard University and faculty affiliate at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. At Harvard, he co-teaches applied strategy and problem-solving, helping students connect academic insights to real-world national security challenges. His scholarship bridges technology and policy, with a particular focus on cybersecurity, intelligence, and resilience. His most recent book, Security in the Cyber Age: An Introduction to Policy and Technology (2024), explores how states and non-state actors exploit vulnerabilities in cyberspace and proposes strategies to strengthen security and governance. He has served on the Rhode Island Cybersecurity Commission and has worked with government, industry, and academia to promote resilience and preparedness.
