Dr. Leanne Tortez is an industrial-organizational psychologist specializing in measurement, survey design, and applied research methods. Tortez has taught in organizational and leadership psychology programs since 2017, teaching graduate-level courses in statistics, research methods, organizational assessment, and doctoral project development. Her work focuses on helping students translate theory into practice through rigorous study design, scale development, and evidence-based decision making. Her research examines employee well-being, social support at work, leadership development, and identity-related workplace experiences. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Vocational Behavior, Health Affairs, and Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and regularly presents at national conferences such as the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Work-Family Researchers Network.
