The workplace is undergoing a transformation, given the widespread adoption of remote and hybrid work and technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital twins. The course outlines how the future of work is affecting workplaces, work arrangements, and jobs, and discusses the opportunities and challenges thereof. In doing so, the course draws on organizational theories such as flexibility and algorithm aversion and introduces students to basics of machine learning and large language models (LLMs).
