Optimizing Leadership: Applied Strategies

Dr. Ashley Prisant has a multi-faceted background, from working in the military as a Naval Officer to leadership roles in Fortune 100 companies, to educating students at colleges and universities. As a Surface Warfare Officer, she led hundreds of sailors and employees on ships around the world. After receiving her MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), she filled various senior leadership roles at Amazon, working in operations, human resources, and finance with over $45 million in profit and loss, training programs, budgeting, and strategy across four fulfillment centers. She led operations and program management officers team focused on the creation of new products and programs and improvements to key processes in Amazon Transportation, with impact reaching billions of dollars in transportation. She later ran the learning and development team for over 2,600 employees. She has led a boutique consulting firm focused on operations strategy implementation for high-growth companies and optimizing leaders' impact on organizations. She currently is the Portfolio chief human resources officer (CHRO) for LFM Capital. Her first book, Go Beyond the Job Description, sheds light on ways for leaders and individuals who want to do more of what they enjoy doing in their current jobs. Her second book, Choose your Comeback Plan, helps leaders manage their teams in a rapidly changing environment. She teaches leadership, business, and organizational behavior classes for Harvard Extension.
