Mergers, Acquisitions, and Restructurings

Viktoria Dalko is the program dean of the DBA program, Professor of Finance, and a member of the academic board at the Hult International Business School. She teaches corporate finance, business analysis and valuation, and mergers and acquisitions. Her research focuses on unfair competition in financial markets, high-frequency trading, information monopoly, market regulation, and life insurance fraud. In addition to serving on the Hult academic board, Dalko serves on several private boards and has consulting and entrepreneurial experience in global business and government. She is a frequent conference presenter, publishes in international academic journals, and has been named Professor of the Year and Researcher of the Year at Hult multiple times.

Mehmood (Peter) Bheda is a leader who has the ability to educate, motivate, and bridge gaps to achieve results by building long-term internal and external stakeholder relationships. He possesses a history of success in operating and evaluating new development and re-positioning opportunities in both domestic and international markets. With a track record that spans over four decades in real estate and the business world, his global leadership has demonstrated a positive influence in higher education, global hospitality, and entrepreneurship. Bheda currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Frontera Hotel Group and as executive xhairman at Boldface Hospitality. He holds a master's degree in real estate development and finance from Boston University, where he also served as an adjunct professor at the School of Hospitality Administration. As a guest lecturer, he travels globally to speak at hospitality and business schools, including the Paris School of Advanced Business Studies (HEC Paris), Columbia University, and Harvard University, sharing his expertise on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, asset management, negotiation, conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, philanthropy, franchising, asset management, operations, and service excellence. He is a proud recipient of the following awards from the International Hospitality Institute: 25 Most Influential Global Hospitality Educators of 2021, 100 Most Powerful People in USA Hospitality for 2022, and 30 Most Influential Educators in Hospitality for 2023. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University's College of Business, and masterclass instructor for MBA and Executive MBA Crash Course at HEC Paris, France, teaching course on the art of leadership and conflict resolution and negotiation.
