Finance is the language of business, and all business leaders need to speak it fluently. Financial fluency is about understanding an organization's revenue model, cost structure, and margin profile, as well as what makes a good investment. It is about being able to integrate quantitative implications into all of your decisions and planning. These are skills that all senior business leaders exhibit, but that many rising business leaders struggle with or shy away from. In this course, we emphasize structured, graphical techniques that show how business decisions relate to financial outcomes. This approach has the double benefit of encouraging quantitative financial analysis as an integral part of all decision-making, while also demystifying financial terminology by connecting financial metrics back to operational management. Importantly, this is not a course in accounting or capital markets theory—it is a practical course for managers who want to use financial analysis to make better business decisions.
