Financial Accounting Principles

Andrew Azer is a certified public accountant (CPA) with 30 years in the accounting profession, including 27 years in public accounting. He joined the Harvard Extension School in 2019 and has taught managerial accounting, financial accounting, and financial statements analysis. In addition, Azer has taught at other universities since 2011, teaching courses such as auditing, international accounting, cost accounting, pass-through entity taxation, and accounting information systems. Azer also currently works at CohnReznick, an international CPA firm, as a senior audit manager, working on audit, review, and compilation engagements in various industries including airport fuel consortia, real estate, and employee benefit plans. Combining his years in the profession, Azer brings an expansive real-world perspective to the classroom that has helped create a robust experiential learning environment.
