Diversity and Inclusion Management

Tracie D. Jones-Barrett, EdD, is the Deputy Institute Community and Equity Officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Previously, Jones-Barrett was the first-ever Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in MIT's School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) and served on the SHASS faculty diversity committee. Prior to MIT, Jones-Barrett served as Director of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, as well as an associate director of student affairs and assistant director for student diversity and inclusion programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jones-Barrett received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the Harvard Extension School and a master's in higher education administration from Northeastern University, where she also earned her EdD in higher education administration in the spring of 2023.
