This course is for students looking to make the jump to becoming part- or full-time independent content creators on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Substack. Using journalism skills across disciplines—video, audio, and writing—the course walks through how to find your niche and expertise, identify the best platform for your purpose, and connect you with an audience. Case studies and guest speakers illuminate the business of becoming a creator journalist. Students end the course with writing a launch plan for their channel.
