Artificial Intelligence Agents for Health Care, Business, and Biotechnology

Dr. Sahar Hashmi is an instructor at the Harvard Division of Continuing Education and the Chief Executive Officer of Magna GenAI Consulting, LLC, a consulting boutique based in Boston, Massachusetts. Hashmi holds an MD from the University of Punjab, a PhD from the Sloan School of Management and the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at the Massachusetts Insitute of Technology (MIT) and a master's degree in systems design and management also from MIT, where she applied design skills and systems thinking to hospital operations management. Hashmi was recognized as a top artificial intelligence (AI) business expert in 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) and Titan Business Award in 2022. She has contributed to Forbes, where she wrote more than 70 articles on advancements at the intersection of AI, medicine, and business. She advises health care and business executives on strategic decisions, including AI vendor selection for clinics and health care systems, AI implementation planning, AI-powered marketing, and decision-making in an era of AI-driven business and health care transformation. Her work spans the application of AI across health care, finance, legal, and other professional sectors, where she advises leaders on the strategic adoption, transformation, and impact of AI. She regularly contributes to executive discussions on LinkedIn and is invited to speak at leading institutions and organizations across the United States, including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Socity (HIMSS), Mass General Brigham, and Cleveland Clinic. Hashmi has received numerous awards, including the Larry G. Benedict Institute Leadership Award, the Best Innovative Design Project Award from the US Global Technology Community, and the Sloan School of Management's Graduate Teaching and Mentoring Apple Award. She also received the Graduate Women in Excellence Award at MIT.
