Academic Writing and Critical Reading

Christopher Walsh is associate professor of English at Boston University, where he also served as director of the College of Arts and Sciences Writing Program. He holds degrees in English and psychology from the University of Rochester, and in American studies from Boston University. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Gambia and Fulbright professor in Burkina Faso (2000-2002) and Turkey (2023-2024), Walsh has published in journals such as Aeon, Agni, Civil War History, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Raritan, and the Yale Review. His book, Cowardice: A Brief History, was published in fall 2014 by Princeton University Press.
