Principles of Economics: Microeconomics

Patrick Scholten is Professor of Economics at Bentley University. In 2003, he earned a PhD in economics from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he specialized in industrial organization, game theory, and applied econometrics. His research broadly focuses on the internet's impact on markets. The environments he studies include posted-price markets and online auctions. Recently, his attention turned to learning the Python programming language to help students learn econometric techniques and data science. For the last seven years, Scholten served as Economics Department Chair and Associate Provost at Bentley University.
