General Chemistry

Gregory Tucci received his PhD in chemistry from Harvard University. He is Senior Lecturer on Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Chemistry at Harvard.

Justin McCarty is an instructor for chemistry courses at the Harvard Extension School and the Harvard Summer School. McCarty completed his bachelor's degree in chemistry, magna cum laude, at Harvard University. While studying at Harvard, McCarty was the recipient of a John Harvard Scholarship, the Detur Book Prize, and the CRC Press Chemistry Award, and he performed research on the synthesis of nano-scale semiconducting materials in the laboratory of Professor Hongkun Park. Away from chemistry, McCarty is also an active double-bassist. He holds an undergraduate diploma from New England Conservatory and a master's degree from Boston Conservatory, and performs with several orchestras and chamber music groups in the Boston area.
