Alexis Montecinos's research focuses on applied artificial intelligence (AI) and business analytics and its applications. He was a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and is an assistant professor of finance at Suffolk University in Boston. He is managing director of Pharu Analytics, a consulting firm that advises different organizations in the world through various AI projects. Among the most important prizes he has received, he was recognized as one of the 25 most successful professionals under 35 in Chile. Montecinos has a BS in economics and a MS in economics from Universidad de Chile and a PhD in finance from MIT.
