Museums and the Law

Bonnie Clendenning has worked in the nonprofit field for decades. Early in her career she fell in love with museums during her appointments with ICOM, the Tate Gallery, and the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University. After returning to the United States, she transitioned into work in development and alumni relations with several Boston area universities and later became Executive Director of the Archaeological Institute of America and President of the School for Field Studies. She has been a board member for a dozen nonprofit organizations and is currently a consultant to nonprofits, where she occasionally gets to work again with museums. Clendenning is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
