Voice and Speech: Breath, Presence, and Connection

Meredith Eib is a voice teacher, singer, and musical theater performer based in Washington, DC. Her favorite recent musical theatre credits include: Kate Monster (Avenue Q), Rona Lisa Peretti (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Miss Honey (Matilda), Jo March (Little Women), and Cinderella (Cinderella). She has performed with DC-area theaters such as Olney Theatre Center, Constellation Theatre Company, Adventure Theatre, and NextStop Theatre Company. In concert, she has performed as a headliner with the SummerSet DC Concert Series on the National Mall and has also sung at DC venues such as the Library of Congress, Kennedy Center, The Washington Arts Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Museum. She is featured on the original cast recordings of 19 (an original musical about the suffragettes' fight for the 19th amendment), Blueberries for Sal with Adventure Theatre Company, and The Last Days of Cleopatra as Elizabeth Taylor. As a voice teacher, Eib is currently on faculty at The Catholic University of America's Rome School of Music, Drama and Art in Washington, DC, where she teachers applied musical theater voice, as well as voice and speech within the theater division. Additionally, Eib is on the musical theater voice faculty at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, where she teaches a studio of musical theater singers and a musical theater studio performance class. Eib has served on the voice faculty of Boston Conservatory's Musical Theatre Dance Intensive and Vocal Choral Intensive and as a teaching fellow for voice and speech at Harvard Summer School. Eib is also the musical theater voice specialist at Levine School of Music in Washington, DC. In May of 2022, she graduated with her MFA in musical theater vocal pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee as a part of the Conservatory's innaugural class.
