This course offers a hands-on introduction to the digital media landscape, exploring the tools, technologies, and strategies shaping how stories and information are shared online today. Students learn how content creators and media organizations build audiences, generate revenue, and adapt to constant technological change. We also explore the impact of artificial intelligence on creating and sharing digital content. Over the course of the semester, students develop a concept for a digital journalism project, produce original digital media work, design and measure the success of a promotional campaign around the concept, and build a strategy for audience growth and engagement.
